Welcome Aboard! Food, fun, and entertainment awaits as we depart our pickup locations for a relaxing ride to our Mid-Southern Adventure. Today being a travel day takes us to our en route hotel is Missouri for a relaxing nights rest. (Included Meals: NONE)
As we depart today, we’ll continue our trek southbound into Oklahoma where we start our adventure by visiting the Pioneer Woman Museum followed by the Standing Bear Museum. After an included lunch we settle in for the evening at Artesian Hotel, Casino, & Spa for an evening of free time and relaxation. (Included Meals: B,L)
After an included breakfast, we start out our day at the Chickasaw Cultural Center followed by a visit to Bedre Fine Chocolates for a tour and shopping. This afternoon we will arrive in Waco, TX and check-into our hotel for the next 2 nights before enjoying an included BBQ dinner. (Included Meals: B,D)
Today is all about Waco! As we depart the hotel, we make our way to the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum before meeting our local step-on guides for an enjoyable tour of Waco that includes Fixer-Upper homes, Harp Design Co, Magnolia Silos, and so much more. Following our tour, we will stop by Magnolia Table for a lunch break. Following lunch, we will return to Magnolia Silos for some free time to explore before returning to our hotel to freshen up for an included dinner this evening. (Included Meals: B,D)
As we check-out and depart this morning, we continue our tour southbound to San Antonio. As we arrive in town, we’ll enjoy an amazing, included lunch at Fogo de Chao (Brazilian Steak House) before boarding an electric barge for a narrated tour along the Riverwalk and up to the Pearl. Upon arrival at the Pearl, we’ll meet our local step-on-guide who will give us a tour of the Pearland surrounding areas before returning to our hotel and get settled for the next 4 nights. After some free time to explore the Riverwalk and get dinner on our own, we’ll make our way to the San Fernando Cathedral to experience The SAGA | San Antonio. (Included Meals: B,L)
After enjoying breakfast, we’ll depart with our local Step-on-guide for a trip down to Mission San Jose where we’ll get take in a brief introduction video and tour the grounds. Next, we’ll enjoy an included lunch before getting a tour of the King Williams Neighborhood and Villa Finale: Museum & Gardens. This afternoon we will learn about German Heritage, culture, and presentation at Beethoven Maennerchor before returning to downtown and viewing The Price of Freedom on the IMAX (a stirring tribute to the 189 Texans, Tejanos, and settlers who defended the besieged Alamo for 13 days against the Mexican army). Following the presentation, we’ll depart for an included Texas BBQ dinner in a fun roadhouse atmosphere. (Included Meals: B,L,D)
As we start today, we’ll take a short walk over to The Alamo where we will enjoy a self-guided tour with an audio assist. Following our visit, we’ll meet up with our local step-on-guide for a question & answer period before boarding the motorcoach and traveling to historic Market Square (one of the largest Mexican Markets in the United States). After some free time to explore, we’ll meet for an included lunch at one of the historic restaurants on site. Later this afternoon, we’ll depart with our step-on-guide for some more exciting history and touring in this great city. Including a stop to view the Spanish Governors Palace, and a visit inside the San Fernando Cathedral. Tonight, we return to our hotel early to relax or explore at your leisure. (Included Meals: B,L)
This morning we’ll depart with our step-on-guide and travel north to historic Fredericksburg. Upon arrival, we’ll visit the National Museum of the Pacific War before having free time to explore the downtown area and find some great lunch options. This afternoon we will make a stop in Luckenbach to take in some local Texas style music before returning to our hotel and freshening up before a breathtaking view at Tower of Americas where we will enjoy an included dinner at Chart House seated high above the city. (Included Meals: B,D)
As we check-out this morning, we’ll start our journey back north. But first, we’ll make a stop at SAS Shoe Factory where we will visit their factory store and are planning to get a tour of this amazing factory. Following our visit, we’ll head north back to Waco and visit the Homestead Property before returning to and checking into our hotel for the evening. (Included Meals: B)
Today we continue north and back into Oklahoma where we will enjoy an included lunch at Ole Red. A music venue and restaurant owned by country singer Blake Shelton. After lunch, we’ll continue north to make our way and settle into our en route hotel. (Included Meals: B,L)
We start out today with more adventure as we make our way over to the Pioneer Woman Mercantile (aka “The Merc”) where we will enjoy an included lunch and free time to explore/shop. Next, our adventure brings us to the Bartlesville Community Center & Price Tower Arts Center. After enjoying a tour of these great properties, we’ll have one final stop on our adventure “Little House on the Prairie” Museum. This property is dedicated to the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder and her childhood home. (Included Meals: B,L)
Today we are on the final stretch of our adventure. Let’s relax and chat with our newfound friends about all the amazing places we have seen and visited as we make our way back to Eastern Iowa and say goodbye until our next adventure together. (Included Meals: B)
