Welcome Aboard! Food, fun, and entertainment awaits as we depart our pickup locations for a relaxing ride to Chicagoland where we will meet up with our partners from SerVacations to start our tour with a welcome reception and a baseball game at Ozinga Field – Home of the Windy City Thunderbolts. Watch the game from the Executive Suite and enjoy a great spread of food and drinks. Following the game we’ll return to our hotel for a 2-night stay. (Included Meals: D)
As we wake up and enjoy an included breakfast this morning, we set our sights on Chicago. We will start our morning by visiting Wrigley Field for a behind the scenes tour of this historic stadium. Following our tour we’ll have some free time to explore the Magnificent Mile and do some shopping as well as find a great lunch. This afternoon, we’ll move down to the Chicago River and take in the Architectural Cruise before heading back to Wrigleyville to enjoy the Chicago Cubs as they take on the Pittsburgh Pirates. Tonight, we make our way back to our hotel for some much-needed rest and relaxation. (Included Meals: B)
As we wake up and enjoy another included breakfast, we’ll also get ready to check-out and make our way over to Homewood Bat Company where we will enjoy a factory tour to see how bats are made. Following our tour, we’ll make a stop for lunch (not included) where you can get a taste of Chicago Cuisine before we trek west and arrive in the Quad Cities (Illinois/Iowa Border). As we get into this new area, we’ll visit the John Deere Pavilion (& welcome center) before checking into our hotel for the night. Once we get checked in and freshen up, we’ll walk over to Circa 21 for an included Dinner Theatre showing of Mamma Mia! Following the show, we’ll walk back to hotel on our leisure and get a good nights rest. (Included Meals: B, D)
After and included breakfast this morning, we set our sights on Iowa! Once we get checked-out, we’ll make our way to Iowa-80 (World’s Largest Truckstop). Here we’ll have time to explore this massive complex and visit the Trucking Museum before continuing our way west across the state. After a stop for an included lunch, we’ll arrive in Des Moines (Capital of Iowa) and get checked into our hotel. After some free time to freshen up and get settled, we’ll make our way over to Principal Park to enjoy one more game of baseball and a great included meal. Tonight, the Iowa Cubs take on the Indianapolis
Indians (Pirates affiliate). Following the game, we’ll return to our hotel for a night of great rest. (Included Meals: B, L, D)
No need to pack this morning as we arise and enjoy an included breakfast, we’ll be back tonight. We also have the option of attending a local church service for those interested. After church, we’ll return to the hotel for those not attending service and make our way to the Omaha area where we’ll have some free time to find a great lunch on our own before heading into Omaha for a City Tour by a local step-on-guide. Following our tour, we’ll make our way over the College World Series site and join the World Record Attempt for the Largest Game of Catch. There will be plenty of food trucks around for those that are hungry before returning to Des Moines. (Included Meals: B)
As we wake and check-out this morning, don’t forget to enjoy the included breakfast. First thing on the agenda today is a Service Project at a local Food Pantry. We’ve made arrangements with the team for everyone to have an impactful role in service this community. Next, we get to enjoy an included box lunch onboard the motorcoach as we travel to Field of Dreams in Dyersville, IA. This is the site from the movie and most recently the MLB Field of Dreams Game! Once we arrive on site, we’ll take in a private tour of the Farm House followed by some free time to play catch on the infamous field. Make sure to watch out for the Ghost Player as he comes out to play with us. This evening we make our way back into Illinois and stay in Historic Galena. Tonight, we’ll meet a local guide for a walking tour of downtown before having some free time to explore and enjoy dinner on our own before returning to our hotel for a great night sleep. As we check-out this morning and enjoy an included breakfast, we’ll meet another local step-on-guide for a driving tour of this famous city. After our city tour, we’ll make our way over to Rockford, IL for an included lunch before visiting Midway Village Museum. This museum includes an exhibit featuring the Rockford Peaches from the WWII era. After this museum we will make our way over to the site of the Rockford Peaches Stadium before we make our way over to Schaumburg, IL for a Farewell Dinner featuring Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. Following this dinner & show, we’ll return to our original hotel in Chicagoland for one final night before heading home from this amazing trip. (Included Meals: B, L, D)
As we wake up and enjoy an included breakfast, we begin to make our way home. Our bus will drop off our friends from Florida at Midway Airport and then we’ll begin our run home from here.
