Covered Bridge Festival 2022

Welcome Aboard! Food, fun, and shopping awaits as we depart our pickup locations early for a nice relaxing ride to our destination. After a coffee break en route, we’ll make our way into the “Covered Bridge Capital of the World”, Parke County Indiana. This remarkable county is home to 31 historic Covered Bridges and Indiana’s Largest Festival. As we approach Parke County, we will make a stop at our first bridge located just north of the county line. Today we will visit many bridges as well as 3 communities within Parke County before settling into our hotel for the next 2 nights. Dinner this evening will be on our own near the hotel.

After a leisurely included breakfast at our hotel, we will head back into Parke County for another fun filled day of bridges, shopping, food, & fun! Today we will stop in Mansfield, one of the two larger festival grounds in the county. Mansfield is home to the Historic Mansfield Roller Mill – an 1880’s flour mill with authentic machinery. We finish our day with anther bridge located outside the county on the east side. This bridge has an amazing back story. After freshening up at our hotel, we will have the option to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant a short drive from the hotel. (B)

As we wake up this morning, don’t forget to pack for check-out before heading down to enjoy another great included breakfast at our hotel. Today, we will finish our tour of this amazing county including a stop in Bridgeton, home to Collom’s General Store, the 1878 house, and much more. As we make our way out of Parke County, we will be stopping for a great meal at the Beef House (not included). Make sure to save your appetite. After enjoying one last meal together, we’ll make our way back home. This time will be a great time for conversation and reflection with all the new friends we’ve made on this great tour. (B)
